Looped is a social app for building real friendships through recurring, in-person hangouts, not one-off events. A Loop is the recurring activity, like a weekly run club or a monthly game night; a Hangout is a single occurrence of it.

Loops are invitation-only: no public discovery, no algorithmic feed, just a shared link passed along in iMessage. Membership is merit-based too: showing up consistently moves you from New to Regular to Core to Legend, so the app highlights the people who actually show up, not just the ones who joined.
Once you're in, Looped tracks your upcoming hangouts on a simple calendar and keeps a running list of everyone you've looped in with.

My favorite detail is booping, a lightweight, no-pressure way to poke someone you'd like to catch up with. If they boop back, their phone number is revealed under their profile picture, turning a small social signal into an actual way to reach out.

I founded, designed, and built Looped end to end: SwiftUI on iOS with a Supabase backend, currently in active use with my own friend groups in NYC.
